First Quarter News
This year started with a great U.S. tour covering Washington, Oregon, Arizona and California. Travels this time of the year usually encompass a lot of bad weather and road problems however, we are happy to report that we sailed thru just ahead of most road closures and snow storms.
We were thrilled and excited that our return visits to church congregations, in Washington, Oregon, Arizona and California, were packed out with standing room only. The applauses and standing ovations we received were overwhelming. However, the greatest reward was that many came to know Christ as their Personal Savior and many re-dedicated their lives to the Lord. Our spirits were touched and lifted as many expressed how their congregations were edified, many broken lives and homes were mended and spirits of depression were lifted, as they listened to some of the songs. We definitely give God all the glory for being present at each concert. Many promoters have rescheduled concerts for next year and for future years.
We had some great concerts in Alberta and B.C. in February and March with enthusiastic crowds that support and love our Ministry.
April and May, we will be performing close to home to restructure the group and prepare for a new recording.
Group Restructure
Effective April 1, 2008 Wayne Unrau will no longer be a Member of Sweet Presence. After much prayer and consideration, we feel that the Lord is directing us to evaluate our operations and restructure, in order to be more efficient and efficient.
We wish Wayne all the best in his future endeavors and extend our sincere thanks & appreciation to him for his dedication and commitment these past 10 months. He consistently put his heart & soul into each performance and worked hard to help Sweet Presence preserve and maintain the family sound that so many people have come to enjoy and appreciate for so many years.
A New Direction !!!
After considerable Prayer and waiting on the Lord for direction, Sweet Presence is returning to an All-Family group consisting of Ernie, Dolly and Corey. Many have heard the new sound already and positive feedback already received, has been a confirmation in the Spirit, that we are going in the right direction.
We are excited, as we continue to soar forward with great expectations and anticipation, as God continues to use us to lift up His Name in this Ministry, through Gospel Music.
We want to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks to all who have stood behind us this past year, and again have committed to continue supporting Sweet Presence with their prayers and financial giving.
Thank you and God bless you richly, is our Prayer.
