MERRY CHRISTMAS AND GOD'S BLESSINGS THROUGHOUT THE NEW YEAR
We would like to take this time to thank our Family, Partners and Friends for your Prayers, Love and Support, which you have shown to us, throughout the year. May Christmas and the coming year bring you and your families the blessings of Peace, Hope and Joy.
Year 2009 has passed by so quickly and it is hard to believe that we are approaching a new year. In the past six months, we have had many valleys to go thru but are happy to report that we have also had many mountain top experiences to thank God for and to shout about.
Some of the Highlights we have shared in the last six month were:
July - A tour to Northern Alberta in our new bus made travelling so much easier and the bus performed great. Then on to "The Great Canadian Festival in Red Deer" where we shared the stage with our American counterparts for 3 days of the best in Southern Gospel Music. As always, the most thrilling for us was having our oldest son Greg, who sang with us for many years, join us on stage. Together we sang some of the favourites that our fans have enjoyed over the years. The standing ovation and applause from the audience certainly let us know how much we are love and appreciated.August & September - We enjoyed 2 days of Gospel music at Camp Harmatten with the Perry's, Triumphant, Reggie Saddler family and many other wonderful groups. Once again our oldest Son Greg, joined us on stage, which was thrilling. In September we toured up the Northern Coast of BC to Prince Rupert and back and finished up with concerts in Washington.October & November - Toured Victoria Island for one week and Washington and Oregon. Each concert was well attended and the crowds enthusiasm was inspiring to us. So many shared of how they were blessed by the songs and exhortations. November included concerts held locally with week-end trips to Washington and Oregon. December, we have concerts in Washington and Oregon. The balance of our time will spent preparing records for year-end and in getting ready for our up-coming 6 week tour commencing January 2nd, 2010 throughout the United States.
As the year 2009 draws to a close and we review our Financial Statements, we find that due to the current recession, some regular supporters as well asoccasional supporters, have not been able to continue giving. Therefore, in order to maintain a minimal operation budget, we are trusting the Lord to speak to others to help Sweet Presence to continue in ministry.
